I am a media/journalism teacher (first year in thiscurriculum and reading specialist who accidently found this blog. From reading some of the posts, I can tell I would like to see some of the activities you use in classes. I teach 6th-8th grades. Would you be willing to share or post some of the class assignments and resources? Your students sound like they are at least interested in what you are doing, and I am struggling with student motivation and am trying to make my class more interactive and dynamic. I apologize for taking so long to respond to your request for media literacy material. I would be happy to share some of the work we’re doing in class. As you can see, my use of the blog with students has been a bit sporadic, but I’m working on that this term. Look out for some of the introductory material I’ve been using with my students. I’ll post as soon as I’m able.
As of today, we will use this page for asking questions and getting clarification and sharing answers regarding anything we’ve discussed in class.
